Granite Bay Youth Lacrosse follows U.S. Lacrosse's player age grouping which is accessible here.

A handy birthday-based reference table is accessible here.

Players should not be older than the age designation of the group there are in.

For example, 12U means "12 and under" and no player should turn 13 during that season.

There are no odd-year programs - so players "aging out" move up to the next available program.  For example, a player for the 2017-2018 season who has a birthday 7/11/2005  ages out of 12U.  The player would be characterized as "13U" by U.S. Lacrosse Age Grouping Quick Reference Table.   GBYL (like most Northern California programs) offers 12U and 14U programs.  So 13U age players aging out of 12U will play on the 14U teams, and 11U players aging out of 10U will play on 12U teams.
